Technical Troubleshooting & Guides
If iOS blocks patternART from saving your wallpaper, open your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → patternART and ensure permission is set to 'Add Photos Only' or 'Full Access'. Once enabled, reopen patternART and tap 'Save to Photos' again.
In the Studio control dock, select the brush mode: Densify (thickens pattern lines and clusters tiles in touched areas), Sparsify (thins out geometry to create negative space), or Erase (restores the local field to pristine uniform tiling). You can tap Undo anytime to step back through previous brush strokes.
You can adjust the canvas dynamically using intuitive two-finger gestures: pinch to scale tile size and twist to rotate. For millimeter precision, expand the Composition Panel in the dock to adjust the exact Tile Size (30–170pt) and Rotation sliders.
Tap the Gallery icon (book/grid symbol) in the top navigation bar. Tap any saved artwork to restore its mathematical parameters, colors, and hand-painted influence field directly onto the canvas. To delete a piece, simply touch and hold (long-press) on any card in the gallery and select 'Delete'.
After tapping 'Save to Photos' in patternART: open iOS Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper → Photos. Select your exported artwork. Since patternART exports at your screen's exact physical pixel dimensions, pinch out slightly to ensure the image aligns flush with your screen edges, then tap 'Set as Wallpaper Pair'.
You can import up to 5 photos per composition. Tapping any photo brings it to the top of the stack without resetting other layers. You can switch each photo between Paper Frame (classic white margin), Moon Window (circular crop), or Bare (borderless) directly from the photo toolbar.
Yes! patternART saves lightweight mathematical parameter recipes (a few hundred bytes per piece) in the standard iOS sandbox. When you perform an iPhone migration (Quick Start) or restore from an encrypted iCloud/Mac backup, all your gallery artworks will be seamlessly restored on your new device.
To reset custom brush strokes while keeping your selected motif and palette intact, tap the Clear button in the Studio control ribbon. If you want to randomize everything anew, tap the '隨心一擲' (Shuffle) button.
